Mindscene offers secular guided meditation sessions for
individuals, and small or large groups of people. We will come to your workplace or home to deliver the sessions. All that we need is a quiet space and some chairs.
Each session is one hour.
Firstly, we offer sessions of a guided mindfulness-based meditation, focussed on learning to relax – in both body and mind – and also to develop more undistracted and sharpened levels of concentration, awareness and attention.
The second meditation offered is one in which the focus is on contacting, cultivating and developing healthy emotions. It leads to more kindly and positive self-awareness and confidence, as well as a deeper friendliness and kindness towards others.
All sessions begin with an explanation and introduction to the meditation, then a led body-awareness, where we begin to settle and relax our body – letting go of physical tension and stress, and tuning-in to how we are feeling at that moment. This is a way of starting to become more mindful and aware of the current moment. A gentle and calming beginning, which then flows into the meditation itself.
Whilst it is often easier to practice meditation in a group situation, this is not always possible. Indeed, it may not be desired for some people. Mindscene can provide sessions one-to-one, or for small groups of friends, families, or work colleagues - all in the comfort of their familiar surroundings.
We can also deliver meditation sessions for larger groups. These often happen in a workplace, and the only requirements are a quiet and undisturbed space within the working environment. There is really no limit to the number of people that can effectively meditate together!
